Salmonberry Beach offers all of the activities associated with the seashore – beachcombing, bird watching, shore fishing, clamming, swimming, surfing, skim boarding, kite flying, sandcastle building, picnics and sunset campfires. Bicycling along the beach, through the town of Grayland, beside the cranberry bogs and up along the ridge is both invigorating and picturesque.

The town of Grayland has a gift shop/coffee house, several antique shops, three cozy restaurants, two small grocery stores, a wonderful nursery, a post office and a hardware store.

Westport, only 8 miles away, offers good surfing beaches, surf equipment rentals, fishing boat charters, whale watching charters, crabbing, bowling, mini-golf, go-carts, gift shops, restaurants, a large grocery store and a regional airport. Westport’s Grays Harbor Bay offers calm waters to kayak and canoe and excellent fresh water river fishing can be found in the vicinity.

Westport will have a premier Scottish Links golf course and spa in the not too distant future.
